Chief Solomon Lar, often referred to as the “Father of Democracy” in Nigeria, was a prominent political figure who played a crucial role in the country’s journey towards democratic governance. His wife, Amb. (Prof.) Mary Lar, was equally dedicated to social causes, particularly women’s rights and education. Together, they championed numerous initiatives to improve the lives of the underprivileged.
